URBIX launches community crowdfunding campaign for collaborative parking pilot in Ericeira
URBIX believes that cities belong to the people and that mobility should be collaborative, with drivers having the power to eliminate the stress of finding a parking space.
In August of 2026, it will launch its first pilot project in Ericeira, where simply being a "Solidarity Driver" will allow you to see which parking spaces are free on the Urbix Parking app and share when you're leaving, thus making the space available to another driver in real time.
Another tool will be "The License Plate Messenger," which can anonymously contact the driver who is blocking your car.
To make all these innovations a reality, URBIX launched a crowdfunding campaign for €5,000 to cover infrastructure and software activation expenses, QR code sticker production, logistics and distribution.
