The Municipality of Mafra, through the Business Factory, is promoting the new edition of Mafra Entrepreneurship Month 2026 during the month of October. This initiative is dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, and especially to the people who transform ideas into businesses.

From new technologies that generate value for companies, and the creation of resilient businesses to the empowerment of local development, experiences from leaders will be shared, simultaneously boosting new projects and giving space to those who are starting out.

Aimed at leaders, entrepreneurs, startups, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, students, and the general public, Mafra Entrepreneurship Month 2026 brings together those who create, take risks, and build, in a diverse program including talks, conferences, debates, networking opportunities, and an open day.

␥ ‍ Mafra UP 2026

Ideas competition aimed at entrepreneurs and startups presenting innovative ideas or businesses for the municipality of Mafra in the areas of Blue Economy, Tourism, Agri-food, Technology and Sustainability. Applications open until October 13th at businessfactory.pt/mafra-up.

␥ ‍Mafra Explorers Launch Event

Presentation session of a new program aimed at university students and vocational school graduates, aged 17 to 25, challenging young people to explore entrepreneurship, develop new skills and transform ideas into concrete solutions.

␥ Business Factory Open Day

Business Factory opens the doors of its two incubation hubs, in Mafra and Ericeira, to all those who wish to learn about the support this startup incubator offers in developing new business ideas. Individual meetings with Business Factory specialists can also be scheduled to assess the viability of their business and obtain an immediate diagnosis.

␥ Business Breakfast

A meeting reserved for founders of startups incubated at Business Factory, investors, mentors, and members of the innovation ecosystem.

␥ The Makers

A meeting of innovators who don't just imagine the future, but build it. A space where a leader or entrepreneur shares their experience, the challenges they faced, and the decisions that marked their journey. An afternoon of talks and networking, pitches, and the announcement of the winners of Mafra UP 2026.
